The Agents of the Imperium in Warhammer 40,000 are a diverse group of individuals and organizations that serve the Imperium of Man, often operating outside the traditional military structure. They include the Inquisition, an all-powerful organization dedicated to rooting out heresy, xenos, and corruption within the Imperium; the Officio Assassinorum, a secretive order of assassins tasked with eliminating key enemies of the Imperium; the Adeptus Astra Telepathica, responsible for training and regulating psykers; and the Adeptus Arbites, who enforce the Emperor's law across countless worlds. These agents work in the shadows, using whatever means necessary to protect humanity from internal and external threats.
