This Saturday, June 10th, Games Workshop will be hosting another Warhammer Preview Online! Titled the Octarius Mission Briefing, you’ll be able to see it starting at 1:00PM on the East Coast skyport to 10:00AM for the West Coast habs. After the live show, the preview will be compiled and posted online at Warhammer Community.
The Octarius sector has long been known for the unending battle between the Orks of the Octavius Empire and Tyranid Hive Fleet Leviathan. Since Orks thrive on conflict, the ongoing war has only led to bigger, stronger Orks. Tyranids, on the other hand, absorb and adapt the strongest genetic traits of their foes into monstrous new bio-creations. Whichever side wins, they’ll be worse for the Imperium than either was alone!
What to Expect?
We already know Games Workshop intends to unleash a green tide upon us this summer. The Beast Snaggas showcase a whole new line of feral 40K Orks. New Ork models means a new Ork Codex, first in the Beast Snaggas battle box, then for general release. While their releases have been pretty much spoiled already, maybe we’ll see one or two more kits lurking in the background. Keep your eyes peeled!
The other half of the Octavius War have been lacking. So far, there haven’t been any sneak peeks or promotional articles for the Tyranids. With the lack of promotion, I’m not expecting us to see much. Games Workshop might reveal a new kit or the cover for a new Codex: Tyranids, but I’m expecting the date to be in the indefinite future. It would glisten my chitin to be proven wrong!
That leaves with the surprise announcement from today!
A new Kill Team animation featuring Forge World’s signature Astra Militarum regiment and Ork Kommandos.
Expect images of new plastic Death Korps of Kreig infantry, Ork Kommandos, and suicide squigs galore. Speculation regarding plastic Death Korps has been rampant since Forge World removed most of their offerings. With any luck, this is a multi-pose kit that will expand the Astra Militarum line. Plastic Ork Kommandos have been a longtime coming as well. We won’t have to deal with this for much longer.
Also, don’t forget your shovel… That video had a criminal lack of shovels.
