The headline says it all, sometime in November, Wizkids will be releasing a MtG Deep Cuts line based on the Magic: the Gathering setting. The initial wave is focused on Zendikar and Ravnica, two of the most popular planes.
As with all the miniatures in the Deep Cuts line, “Magic the Gathering Unpainted Miniatures come with highly-detailed figures, primed and ready to paint out of the box. These fantastic miniatures include deep cuts for easier painting. The packaging displays these miniatures in a clear and visible format, so customers know exactly what they are getting.” Most miniatures will ship primed and ready to paint except for a one, at the moment, that features translucent pieces.
So far, I’ve found listing and images for 10 MtG Deep Cuts releases courtesy of Wizkids Info Network.
Vampire Lacerator & Vampire Hexmage $4.99 MSRP
Isperia, Law Incarnate (Sphinx) $14.99 MSRP
Borborygmos (Cyclops) $14.99 MSRP
Obzedat Ghost Council $8.99 MSRP
Rakdos, Lord of Riots (Demon) $14.99 MSRP
Stoneforge Mystic & Kor Hookmaster (Fighter, Rogue, Wizard) $4.99 MSRP
Coralhem Commander & Halimar Wavewatch (Merfolk) $4.99 MSRP
Goblin Guide & Goblin Bushwacker $4.99 MSRP
Jorgaga Warcaller & Joraga Treespeaker (Elves) $4.99 MSRP
Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice (Angel) $4.99 MSRP
The Ravnica figures are understandable as there is already a D&D expansion for that plane. But the Zendikar figures? While the Plane Shift Zendikar was nice, I’m really hoping to see a full book in line with Guildmasters’ Guide to Ravnica.
