With the deployment of the Black Templars it is time to look at the upcoming Games Workshop releases for October 23rd. We’ve got Warhammer Underworlds, Warhammer 40,000, and modeling supplies releasing this week. Lat’s dig in.
Warhammer Underworlds: Harrowdeep
A new season of Warhammer Underworlds appears. Our intrepid bands journey from Direchasm to the watery depths of Ulgu in Harrowdeep. The preorder window for Harrowdeep runs from October 16th till release or while supplies last.
The new season’s starter includes everything you need to play. Boards, dice, tokens, tons of universal cards for each of the Grand Alliances make this the largest Warhammer Underworlds starter Games Workshop has produced.
Plus, let’s not forget the two new warbands of Harrowdeep. Mirroring the current edition of Age of Sigmar, this box includes two warbands. Lead Xandire’s Truthseekers in the name of Sigmar. Or choose the treacherous trickery of Da Kunnin’ Krew.
War Zone Octarius Book 1: Rising Tide
Due to tight allocations, War Zone Octarius and Mission Pack Containment are unavailable for preorder. Please check back at the links after release for restocks.
Despite selling in ORKtober, the 1st book of War Zone Octarius focuses on the other half of the conflict, Tyranids. Time to upgrade your Hive Fleet with a host of new synaptic abilities, Relics, Warlord Traits, and Strategems. Additionally, the Appendix gathers all the Psychic Awakening rules for Tyranids in one place!
Also, Rising Tide gives you the Imperium’s reaction to events in the Octarian sector and the deployment of the remaining might of Cadia’s Astra Militarum regiments.
Now, Rising Tide isn’t the only bit of Tyranid focused work. The companion Crusade book, Mission Pack Containment, gives aspiring Hive Minds even more options! Whether in a screaming Drop Pod or a smoking Mycetic Spore, you’ll preform daring assaults from on high with the reintroduction of Planetstrike missions.
Terrain
Likewise, the new terrain tufts are very tightly allocated. Please check back after release for stock updates.
Cover your bases with more tufts. Available in luxurious Verdia Veldt or desiccated Mordian Corpsegrass tufts help your bases tell your army’s story. The new tufts feature a reformulated backing for better adhesion and will stand up even after sealing with varnish.
